Complaints Procedure
We will always try to accomodate all who have an issue and we actively encourage working together to find a solution that works for all involved.
Please see below for the steps to take when making a complaint.
For our latest Complaints Policy School Policies Page please use the link below.
The first step...
Discuss your concern with the class teacher or member of staff concerned. Most concerns can be addressed at this stage.
If you are still unhappy, contact the school to arrange an appointment to discuss your concerns with the Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher.
How to complain about your child’s SEN support at Glodwick
If you want to complain about your child’s SEN support at Glodwick you should do it while your child is still registered at our school.
This includes complaints that Glodwick Infant and Nursery School has not provided the support required by your child’s SEN statement or education, health and care (EHC) plan.
Make a complaint
Follow these steps in order. Move on to the next step if your complaint is not resolved.
- Talk to the school’s special educational needs co-ordinator (SENCO).
- Follow the school’s complaints procedure.
- Complain to your local authority.
Complain to the Education Funding Agency instead of the local authority if both the following apply:
- the school is an academy or free school
- your complaint is not about a SEN statement or an EHC plan
There’s a different process if you disagree with a decision your local authority has made about a SEN statement or an EHC plan. Talk to the SENCO - Miss S. Bulley.
