Parent Events 2025-26
We were delighted to welcome families to our Parent Support Meeting on 11th March 2026, where parents had the opportunity to learn about a range of free local services available to support children and families within the Goldwick community. Events like this help strengthen our parent partnerships and highlight the importance of working together to support families to “be the best they can be” and help every child at Goldwick succeed.
A huge thank you to all the parents who attended and engaged so positively, and to our wonderful guest speakers from the Local Family Hub, Ukeff and the Fatimah Association for sharing their time, expertise and valuable information with our school community. We look forward to continuing to work together to support our families and children.
As part of our World Book Day celebrations on Thursday 5th March, we were delighted to welcome parents and carers into school for a special Parents’ Reading Session in classrooms across the school.
A fantastic 161 parents and carers attended, joining their children from 9:00–9:30am to share stories together. Classrooms were filled with excitement as families enjoyed reading favourite books side by side. It was wonderful to see children proudly sharing their reading spaces and enjoying this special moment with their families.
Reading with children is incredibly important. Regularly sharing books helps to develop vocabulary, imagination and confidence, while also building a lifelong love of reading. Moments like these show children that reading is valued and enjoyable both at school and at home.
Thank you to all the parents and carers who joined us and helped make the morning such a special part of our World Book Day celebrations.
